It's almost as if reporters are trying to take all of the fun out of the Olympics by telling us that our athletes are failing us when they don't win more medals than the U.S., a country with about ten times more people, and plenty of wealth. If we believe what we're being told, that we need Canadian athletes to win gold to feel good about ourselves, then forget about being disappointed by athletes, they should be disappointed in us.
