I’ve never hard of this guy. Is Howard Stern organizing a similar Vote for the Worst campaign on his behalf?

Hmm, according to his website, he “never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution.”

Apparently the constitution doesn’t authorize raising taxes, the patriot act, increasing white-house powers, or war with Iraq.

Whatever you think about his libertarian politics, you’ve got to admire his consistency.

the consistancy i admired recently is that of the National Rifle Association. they opposed a measure which would ban the sales of guns to “terror suspects” on the grounds that it is arbitrary denial the 2nd ammendment right. their position is slightly more nuanced than that, but it makes sense. i imagine a “no gun list” like a “no fly list” and we all know how many non-terrorist people get put on that.
